A Final Memoir.

Alas, my imaginary friends,
Who wait and watch for evermore,
Silent in stoneless compassion,
Never being as cruel as the full moon.

Ending the chaotic chapter of mine,
In a book without a preface or end,
Still a ballad incomplete,
Slit with a pen brimmed with ink.

And so I close and wait to see,
My life to live, and only me,
Because I needed faith to fight,
Endless continuation of dark night.

With fragments of my mind damaged,
Beyond comprehension and repair,
Ranting on some broken pages,
Seen by no one and everyone.

So my friends, I hope you enjoyed your stay,
Even well to see you for less than a day,
And I saw much more in myself than expected,
So don't you worry or cry no more.

Heaven isn't that far gone,
On the horizon now,
Not today, but tomorrow,
And off I go.
